midtown in Charleston

Today, the ladies and I went to Midtown Grill, which has been open for awhile now.  The atmosphere was great- a few TVs but still architecturally beautiful and unique, complete with a huge wooden bar and vintage silver tile ceilings.  The scene inside was mainly young people (a lot of men) having a beer with lunch and catching the week’s highlights on ESPN.  Our waitress was nice, the food came out quickly and was delicious.  The portions were large, too!  My cheeseburger wrap only cost $7 and the girls’ salads cost $8.  Overall, I’d totally recommend as a cazh place to grab beers.  Oh, and there’s a bonus.  On Sunday, they have bottomless mimosas for $12.  And it’s just dark enough in there to nurse a hangover.

Snuggie Pub Crawl

Well, if you were wondering how you could go into public without having to leave your snuggie on the sofa at home, we’ve got your answer.  You can gather with other snuggie-lovers and go on a bar crawl on Saturday beginning at Wild Wing Cafe at 12:30pm.  The cost is $5 but all proceeds go to MUSC Children’s Hospital.  Carly has considered going in her bathrobe worn backwards.  Think anyone will notice?
