Charleston Twestival

Charleston is now one of the many international cities participating in the worldwide Twestival, which brings people together using social media in order to raise money for charity.  Each city chooses its own charity and Charleston has chosen Concern Worldwide.  All of the events will raise money to target worldwide poverty.  Here is a rundown of events for March 25th:

1:00pm – 3:00pm We are fundraising in Marion Square. Stop by for some afternoon yoga, tell your friends, we’ll be out there. We ask that you bring a donation for Concern. Whatever you can spare, maybe it’s what you would have spent on coffee that day, or lunch out with coworkers. We’ll take what we can get. Education is the only way out of extreme poverty and Caryn Antos of Yoga Benefits is aligned with our mission, Yoga for education!

5:30pm – 7:00pm Join us at the Rebekah Jacob Gallery for networking and some pre-event cocktails.

6:30pm – 9:30pm The rest of our event and your ticket will be extended to The Real Estate Studio. Thank you to DJ Natty Heavy for donating his time and entertainment for our event! Shine your shoes and check out some of the things we have for our silent auction.

You can check out the Twestival on Facebook and look at all of the silent auction items. Tickets are still available for $10 (early bird tickets) and once they sell out, tickets will be $15.

Carly will be telling us how the event went on Friday, so stay tuned!

I love the Ektorp sofa and it comes in this awesome blue and white stripe.  The seller is in West Ashley and selling it for $250.  It looks to be in excellent condition.  I could see it in a white room with some hot pink or soft yellow accent pillows!  Check out the full Craigslist posting here.
